Teach Excellence specialise in teaching the art and craft of Solid and Ornate Plastering.
The courses are PRACTICAL. The College is seeking to train the next generation of craftsman for a career within the building industry. Each Teach Excellence course is designed to produce graduates who will feel confident in taking their place in a professional environment.
To its knowledge, the College is unique in having its own commercial moulding shop and dedicated, professional workforce, who are on hand to pass on their skills. This provides students with the opportunity to become proficient in a specialist trade that is both sought after and well rewarded.
Students who successfully complete the Fibrous course will be qualified to work in some of the nations most prestigious buildings, including stately homes, palaces and other high class properties, eg. Embassies, Banks etc.
Fibrous, moulded plasterwork is considered to be the most interesting and rewarding branch of the industry, and skilled artisans are in great demand, both at home and abroad.
Foundation Course
● The Foundation Course; ideal if you have little or no experience, will take you from the basics of Hand Plastering to a good level of competence.
Advanced Solid Course
● Designed to follow on from the Foundation Course, here the aims are; Quality of Finish along with improvements in Speed and Technique.
Drywall and Jointing Course
● Dry lining is fast becoming the standard method, and good partitioners and dry liners are in great demand, commanding exceptionally good rates of pay.
Advanced Decorative Moulded Plasterwork Course (Fibrous)
● Our Advance Course will cover all aspects of traditional
and ornamental crafts. You will need to have completed
a training course in solid plastering or have acquired a
level of competence through relevant employment to
enable enrolment on the course.
